A diorama commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo Program with a Peep Neil Armstrong landing on the Moon and Peeps at Mission Control at Johnson Space Center is seen, Thursday, July 2, 2009, at NASA Headquarters in Washington. The diorama was put together by the headquarters printing and design department as part of a contest.

Clearly a hoax. Peeps never landed on the moon. In fact, once outside the protection of the Van Allen belt, a crew of Peeps would begin to swell and eventually smolder due to the intense radiation.

...and the debate still rages over whether the first words were in fact "One Small Step For (a) Peeps"...

Thankfully, the diorama doesn't depict anything about the day the air conditioning went kaput in the RTCC and a couple of the guys melted to one other. A sad day for all involved.

Even the "Peeps" can't get it right. "Wind blowing the flag" just one of many discrepancies! It is obvious it has HOAX written all over it.. Who can you trust... Easter will never be the same..Yellow peeps at MC, yeah right.

All times are CT (US)
