This is probably daft,but I have been looking at this picture very closly,I think I can make out colour changes on the left wing that seem to be more then just shading!.I found the picture on shuttle galery,sts107,no19.
Any comments?

You could compare the colorations you see with a pre-launch photo:

I'm always amazed how beat up those shuttles look when you look closely. Download the largest size image and look closely at the wing. Sure looks like it needs to go through the car-wash!
