The 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 will be here soon and I've been reading about the details of that momentous event — especially the work done by mission control during the mission. I would like to recreate the images seen on the five big screens of the mission operations control room.

I've discovered there are few images of the screens during the descent of the Apollo 11 lunar lander. I can get a glimpse of the screens when they are in the background, but the images are blurry. There's enough information to get a gist of the graphs and maps, but I'd like to see a clear view of the images.

Post mission reports have some information, but not much showing what would have been on the screens.

Does anyone know of clear images of the screens during the descent of the Apollo 11 lander? Are there MOCR training manuals that might illustrate the different displays used?

I've always liked the green on black lunar map that was on one of the screens that plotted the path to landing. It would make a nice desktop background as well.

As for the ones that were not live images, I recall these were projection transparencies made by Ford/Philco for NASA up to the early shuttle era.

A key search term that may help is "Eidophor."
