I watched a YouTube video concerning the film/camera used during Ed White's EVA.

The author specifically states that the camera reel could not have been used during the EVA as it was too big. I have attempted to research the camera and film but can only find general information on the mission. Does anyone have specific information that could be linked?

The author's claims are ridiculous. I seriously doubt any facts would change his set opinion.

Of course the helmet can swivel! He speaks from ignorance.

The 16mm camera frame rates were set at 6 fps to conserve film. Also a thinner film base was used to allow more film to be loaded.

The author ignores how smoothly White moves when he is drifting. His movements only appear to be jumpy when he is changing position. Go into a dark room and set a strobe for 6 flashes per second. See how smooth your movements are.

Yes, I linked a NASA document concerning the helmet.

Do you have a link for the fps rate and the type of film? I could not find specific data. I agree that those CT's will probably not understand/agree with facts, but it is nice to have them handy.

Drawing any attention to videos like these, including commenting on them on YouTube, is worse than a waste of time, it is literally lining the pockets of the scam artists creating them.

Anyone with the time and wherewithal to produce a video like this has the time to do their own research and learn the facts. Instead, they post their crackpot theories and watch as the ad revenue streams in.

They want you to engage them, as it only draws more eyes to their video, increasing what they get paid by YouTube for this garbage. I almost deleted your post because of this, but at least this page can serve as a search result should anyone see the video and look for more information...

What a crock, it always amazes me when I see this type of video or statement. These are people who, as Robert notes, have the time and skill to produce a video, yet cannot grasp simple photographic techniques or laws of physics to allow them to understand what they are seeing.

Sometimes when I have the spare time, I enjoy engaging with these idiots (I think it's called baiting), you can almost hear the anger and frustration in their replies as you shoot down their replies.

I wish I had the skills to hack into their Apple watches just so I could watch the blood pressure graph go up.

I'm so glad Alexei Lennonov stuck to space flight and gave his singing partner Pavlov McCartnov the elbow.

All that may be true, however, I'm still looking for links to the information asked originally.

Thanks, but it didn't give the specific fps used, not the film used in the 16 mm footage.

All times are CT (US)
