I'm looking for photos showing the installation of the Apollo lunar module's ascent engine in its location before fitting the protective cover.

I've also read that this cover can be removed to access the power supply lines. Source: "Structure of The NASA Grumman Lunar Module" on Scribd:

The ascent engine plumbing and valving is accessible when the removable cover that extends above the deck in the midsection is removed.
Second, was this cover pressure-tight? If this is not the case, where the boundary with the vacuum was located, was the engine (not its nozzle of course) in the pressurized enclosure or not? I don't understand.

Could someone tell me from this diagram?

Personally I see it this way:

The cover removal would have to have been done with the cabin evacuated. You have the diagram right.

I just found this photo on Flickr. It looks like it's held together at the base by a strap (like for a barrel lid : a metal locking band with the small handle for clamping)... or am I mistaken?

Was there also a circular pressure seal?

In short, when I say that the engine is in a non-pressurized section, I'm quite right, or no?

Isn't that what I basically answered?

Yes, yes, of course I forgot to thank you.

But (I know I'm pretty picky) I would have liked a little more technical detail.

Thank Scott (SpaceAholic), I forgot to highlight it.

If not, no other information on the subject?

Off topic regarding the LM ascent engine, but applicable to the pressurized portion of the cabin. The area behind the forward panels is also pressurized:

No one has any photos of the ascent engine installation without its cover?

All times are CT (US)
