Does anyone know how the final Skylab crew left the space station behind? Was everything cleaned up and stored inside the lockers? Did they leave personal items behind? Maybe a surprise for a potential new crew?

Are any pictures available from inside Skylab, just before the final crew left?

I recall reading, in a contemporary newspaper or magazine article of the time, that the final Skylab crew left some small surprise or greeting for future visitors, though no details were provided.

When the last crew left Skylab, most believed that Skylab would be visited by an early shuttle mission.

I believe I read that the last crew stuffed an EVA suit, or jumpsuit, I can't remember which, to make it look like there was someone inside.

From what I remember, each crew left a surprise for the crew that followed. The second crew ate a lot of the puddings and snacks that were intended for the 3rd crew.

I can't remember what the Conrad crew left for the Bean crew. Maybe it was an inhabitable vehicle.

The stuffed suits were left by the second crew for the third.

The final crew left a "time capsule" that could be recovered by future visitors. I don't know exactly what was in it, but I believe the focus was on creating a collection of samples that could be used to study the effects of long-term exposure.

The stuffed brown flight suits left by the Skylab 3 crew for the Skylab 4 crew can be seen in photos SL3-113-1586 and SL3-113-1587.
