It was my understanding that the Apollo 11 Lunar Module rendezvous radar antenna (above the Lunar Module windows) was pointing upwards towards the sky whilst on the moon.

I wonder if any member could let me know whether this was the case for the full duration of the stay on the moon surface or did the dish change position during its stay and would this apply to subsequent missions?

My reason for asking is a model project and a composite image of Eagle on the moon I have seems to show the antenna facing forward whilst other photographs show it facing up (of course the composite may not be wholly accurate).

All times are CT (US)
