This is outstanding!I have heard air-to-ground communications before and heard them synched with the landing film, but to hear the flight controllers and their dialogue adds a drama that I had not previously experienced. The graphics are nice. I especially like the one of the flight controllers' console positions and how they indicate where the talking person is sitting. The LM pitch indicator is a bit too small for my eyes. It almost looked to me as if it showed a landing probe on the front leg, where none existed on the real Eagle. I would have prefered to see a small red dot moving along a height vs landing path trajectory graphic. These are my little nits and should detract in no way from the great experience you guys have produced. |

That website is a triumph. I can't imagine how much work it took to create such a fascinating account of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. I'll be watching it again very soon. |

Fantastic resource - brought the Apollo 11 landing to life for me in a way I've never experienced (very useful for people like me who weren't even born at the time of the landing!)One slight error I noticed was at 102:35:54 GET where it says Buzz Aldrin is saying 'Stand by, Looking good to us. You're still looking good at 3, coming up 3 minutes', but I'm pretty sure it's Charlie Duke speaking. Very well done. |

This is absolutely incredible. I read all the comments here and then went to see it. I posted "shared" it on Facebook with a comment... and when you all figure out how you get Internet awards for works like this, let me know where I go to vote! I found the use of both "sides" of my speakers to be the most useful part of it. I have heard the CapCom and astronauts side of the landing but never the MCC chatter. Gene Kranz had to be the coolest/calmest man in the room! Thank you for your work. It is incredible! |

Extraordinary work. This is just fantastic. Like most cS members, I've heard the Apollo 11 crew/CAPCOM chatter a thousand times before (including the day it actually happened), but never the Flight Director loop.A couple of things stood out. Kranz was remarkably cool and remarkably fast in making decisions. There was a sound of authority there that is difficult to describe. My already high regard for him went up after hearing the loop. Also, I was impressed by how lightning fast Charlie Duke relayed decisions to the crew. He did not make a mistake or waste even a second. Thank you for doing this. |

That is a tour-de-force piece of work. Great stuff and congratulations Tyler. It really brings out the fast-paced and complex nature of the A11 landing. |

As said by the others, I too have seen and heard the various parts many times, but have never seen it put together like this. This is just wonderful and should be made a historic item. No where else have I seen all these parts put together like this. It puts a whole new perspective on the landing that you can't get from the individual pieces. It really puts the whole thing together.Great work! |

Just wondering would it be feasible to change the movie of the lunar module going over the Moon in the centre of the screen with the actual Apollo 11 landing footage and align it with the what's being said on the loop?Don't know if it would be possible but just a suggestion. |

This is an outstanding historical reference which highlights not only the air-to-ground but also what was being said in mission control. While Gene Kranz is famous for Apollo 13, he really should be given more credit for heading the mission control team for Apollo 11. Similarly, Charlie Duke is known for Apollo 16, but he played a key role as CAPCOM on both Apollo 10 and 11. Tyler, you are to be congratulated on this wonderful interactive. |

There's this guy on YouTube that posted videos of the Apollo 13 mission, illustrated with the Orbiter sim, but with the actual voice and video transmissions overlapped. Here's the one he uploaded for the transposition and docking maneuver. |

I hope some are liking the Full Mission videos - Apollo 13 is on hold until I can get the next audio segment. Next up is Gemini 3. Should be fun to take the Gus Mobile for a spin! |

By chance I was on a flight with Gene Kranz from Houston to San Francisco last week. We briefly discussed your website. It was clear that Mr. Kranz liked your work on syncing the various communication channels and video. He was quite familiar with it. I thought I'd pass that along. |
