I am researching my next article about the design of the Apollo lunar module ascent engine, focusing on the last time that man left the moon in December 1972.

I have come across two photos of Grumman workers and LM-12 with a placard that reads - "this may be our last - it will be our best." I am hoping that some here may be able to help me source high quality images that would be suitable for publication.

The second smaller grouping is taken from the excellent book "The Grumman Story" by Richard Thruelsen. Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt are visible. This may have been taken at Kennedy Space Center but cannot be sure.

Have you tried contacting Joshua Stoff, curator at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Long Island, New York which has a wealth of artifacts, hardware and information on Grumman development and building of Apollo's lunar modules?

Many people have called it the "Grumman museum" or the "Grumman archives" but they are in no way affiliated with the current company, Northrop Grumman. Stoff is also the co-author of the book "Chariots for Apollo" (not to be confused with a NASA official history with the same title).
