Another space friend and myself were talking about suit-up locations and my friend told me that only Alan Shepard and Gus Grissom suited up in Hanger S at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and that the rest of the Mercury astronauts suited up at launch pad 16 like the Gemini astronauts did.

I told my friend that was incorrect and that all the Mercury Astronauts suited up at Hanger S. I, believe that I am right on this question?

Also, on the topic of suit-up locations, did all Gemini crews suit up at Launch Pad 16? And where did the Apollo 1 crew suit up as well?

I know that starting with the Apollo 7 crew that all spaceflight crews suit-up at the Operations and Checkout Building.
