Ed Givens was on the support crews for both Apollo 1 and Apollo 7 before he died.

How about See as backup command pilot for GT-5, and Bassett for original GT-9 prime crew, White for prime crew GT-4, Williams as backup pilot for GT-10, Chaffee prime crew first Apollo, and may have some others later as time permits.

You might consider including the 2TV-1 and LTA-8 test crews in your Apollo round up, as both 'missions' were solely in support of the Apollo program.

This would allow you to add John Bull to the list.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks for all these (and the off-lines as well). I've updated to cover the corrections.

The project is a signed Apollo programme item I purchased in 1999 with 21 signatures on it and the common links between all those who signed was the flown, backup, support, or capcom activities in their time as astronauts. I've been working to complete out the complete group using either in-person or commercial signings or index cards where that isn't possible.

Ken, thanks for the additions - I have thought long and hard about the Apollo 1 crew and eventually decided that as none were already on the item and the liklihood (and cost) of finding three signed index cards for Grissom, White, and Chaffe made it unrealistic.

Matt - I wasn't familiar with the "missions" you identified but some quick internet research taught me something new! One of the things I love about this piece is that it encourages me to keep learning as it covers more than just the "well-known-flown" astronauts and the more I find out about the people who played a part the more I come to appreciate the programme itself. Thanks for adding another piece ot the puzzle for me - Bull is now included on the list.

I'll keep updating as I find more - and thanks for taking the time to look in and contribute to the thread.

Cheers

Craig
