What was the exact time that Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11) and Jim Irwin (Apollo 15) set foot on the moon? I know that Buzz did it about ten minutes after Armstong but I need the exact time.

According to the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal (http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/alsj/a11/a11.step.html), Buzz stepped onto the moon between 109:43:24 and 109:43:47 MET; watching my copy of Spacecraft Films Apollo 11, it looks to be about 12 seconds after he says, "Magnificent desolation."

If Apollo 11 took off at 9:32:00 EDT July 16 and my math is right :-) some time after 11:15:24 pm EDT July 20, 1969.

The ALSJ (http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/alsj/a15/a15.lrvdep.html) puts Irwin on the moon between 120:02:58 and 120:03:04. Watching the DVD, it looks like he actually set foot on the moon about the time Scott was saying, "wish we had."

Since Apollo 15 launched 9:34:00 EDT July 26, 1971, my math puts Irwin on the surface a bit after 9:35:58 am EDT July 31, 1971.

I believe they'll be listed on the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal site at the appropriate times in the chronology:
