You’ll definitely want to visit/stay in Cocoa Beach. Mandatory to eat breakfast at the Moon Hut, the historic diner that was a favorite of the astronauts and launch teams, with a ton of space memorabilia on the walls. Have lunch or dinner at the Durango steak house, because it used to be the Mousetrap, the legendary nightspot, and has more memorabilia on the walls (well, at least one wall). Next door to Durango’s is a Best Western motel which used to be the Apollo motel. Vivid are the memories of downing the enormous sized drinks at the Moustrap, then staggering across the parking lot to my room at the Apollo where I sat on the bathroom floor and hugged the porcelain “fixture.”Hope this helps, Sy Liebergot "Apollo EECOM: Journey Of A Lifetime" www.apolloeecom.com |

Also, sorry to say that Fat Boys' has been closed for several years. It was an Indian restaurant for about 1 1/2 years now it's a BBQ restaurant that doesn't live up to the old FB legend. |
