I’m looking for Apollo era photo prints for an album. I was wondering if anyone knows of a UK based retailers that sells prints? |

Mike Constantine at moonpans does excellent quality photo prints and panoramas. |

I agree that Mike Constantine is great for those amazing lunar panoramas, but if you only want colour prints to put in an album for your own use, why not download them from the internet (for instance, the Project Apollo Image Gallery) and either print them yourself, or put them onto an SD card, a DVD or some other shortage device, then take them to any supermarket or pharmacy that does proper photographs and print your own copies. If you want big prints it might take a week (just like it was in the 1970s - there's progress for you!). NASA prints for your own personal use are not subject to copyright restrictions. |

That’s a great idea. Will start picking the images for printing. |

One further tip: if you decide, say, to print a dozen 10" x 8" prints, and you have individually cropped them and adjusted contrast, brightness, etc. to your satisfaction, I recommend that you order one sample first. You may find that the actual print is slightly darker, or lighter, than you expected. That gives you the opportunity to adjust the settings for the other images before you actually order them. (Of course, if the printing service does "instant prints" that are big enough for you, you can test one first then make any other adjustments before printing the rest. |
