I have four Hasselblads from NASA and two of them have been modified, but I don't know what to think about them or if they have any significance or what they would've been used for. I'm hoping to get a little insight on the. One of the cameras, a 553ELX, the mods that I can plainly see are the big shutter button as been put on and all the aluminum metal trim and parts have been painted or coated black. It also has Hasselblad DE-32 Data back module film back with a PSION Organiser and accessories cables, etc.
The other modified one has a service stick that say NASA LARC 7/16/92. The second model is a 500 EL/M With the Trim removed or painted black, and I think there is some modifications to the battery compartment or adapter? Not sure exactly.
Is there anywhere I can find the general rule of thumb for Hasselblads and mods and how to tell if they are collectible or have any value? I have a Hasselblad tripod shoe that has "BILL GOAD X-3234" written in sharpie on it, does anybody know that that means?
