Does anyone know anything about this piece? It's a sheet of grey lightweight card with the various stamps/cancellations, mission sticker applied and the signatures. It seems homemade. When I first got this I presumed that they were all autopens but I've just got it out of its plastic sleeve for the first time and the signatures seem to have made varying depth indents in the card which can be seen on the reverse. Any ideas as to what it is or whether they are autopen would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, John, that is good news.
I seem to recall that this had some connection with Tom Foley but I obtained it a while after his sad passing. Sadly, I've lost contact with the friend who took me there and who could have possibly shed some more light on its background. |

Yes, these were hand-made from a collector friend of mine. He would prepare the sheets and I would get them posted for the launch, sometimes mission control in Houston, and landing cancels either at KSC or EAFB. We would usually have them autographed before launch in most cases, though.It wasn't Tom Foley, but Tom did acquire a few of them from us from time to time for certain flights that I can recall. On this particular display presentation for STS-67/Endeavour in 1995, all 7 of the flight crew members' autographs are indeed genuine. |
