What is the worth of this photo with all the signatures of the Group XVI 1996 Astronaut Class?

Very nice item. You have a lot more than just group 19 here! I believe there were only 11.

Group 16 (1996) included 10 pilots, 25 mission specialists and 9 international mission specialists for a total of 44 members.

This piece has all 44 signatures.

Signed portraits from this class have sold for $1100 to $1500. Given the larger format and matte-type presentation, I would think maybe $950 to $1100 for this, but that's just one opinion.

I won one at auction, either RR or LL for $450 a couple of years ago. Signed on the class photo not the mat.

The Group 16 signatures on the matted presentation, Jim, does include Lisa Nowak along with three of the Columbia crew members from STS-107; William McCool, Dave Brown and Laurel Clark. I think Robert's appraisal is a close enough estimate of about $1K or so, but could be a little bit more, though, with Nowak.

But some of the signatures on the matte appear to be a bit faded and hard to read, so there could be other factors to consider (also not inscribed), and this is one of the largest astronaut group selections, "The Sardines," with 44 autographs.

Agree with Ken. The fading detracts quite a bit.

Hi. I have seen a better one with no fading and the shuttle landing signed by all. I think they are asking $1500.00 for it.

All times are CT (US)
