Just picked up a copy of "Moon Shot" signed by Alan Shepard and wanted everyone's thought on the signature. Were there copies signed by a secretary on Alan's behalf?

Congrats ... you found a nice (and authentic) one!

It is likely a 1st printing. He usually signed as "A Shep--" as the book tour dragged on.

Cool, thanks for your insight. I picked it up for $60.

The seller stated it was a First Edition signed in Los Angeles at the NAMM Booksellers Convention, on May 29, 1994.

I thought it was good, but I know there is some skepticism over Shepard's signature and I wasn't sure if there any know secretarial signed copies or bad forgeries.

It is a very nice signature. If that was the one one eBay last night, you got a good deal. Had considered it myself, but I already have two copies so I passed, albeit reluctantly.

It was the one on eBay last night. The seller accepted my best offer. I've always wanted a sign copy in place of my unsigned copy that was given to me back in 1994. I just had to wait for a nicely signed copy, un-personalized and at a fair price.

Gary, congrats, another one bites the dust, for me. It's just a matter of timing. Great signature.

I was able to pick up a copy of Lost Moon not personalized and signed by Jim Lovell in the same day for $45. It was a great day and nice addition to the library.

That's a sweet signature. Here's mine for comparison.
