Besides eBay and auction houses, are there any sponsored space memorabilia shows with vendors selling items? Like for sports, I always see sports card shows or local or regional coin shows with many vendors selling products. Is there any regional or national space shows? I've looked and can't seem to find any. Thanks for any input. |

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's annual Space Rendezvous and Novaspace Galleries' Spacfest both have vendor booths, in addition to astronauts autograph and space art booths. You can find discussion of those events under the Autographs Shows & Signings forum. (At present, with Kim Poor's death earlier this year, it is not yet clear if Spacefest will be held in 2018, but if it is, a topic will be started under the above mentioned forum.) |

Don't forget about the annual space memorabilia shows at the History Center near Gate 1 of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It's a great one-day show. There had been other shows on the Florida Space Coast at Merritt Island, in Titusville with shows sponsored by the SWOFF and the Titusville Moonport Stamp Club, and NASA's Kennedy Space Center (the space center show at the time, though, was not related to the ASF), but they're no longer ongoing. My own space firm also conducted a 3-day space memorabilia show on grounds inside the Kennedy Space Center itself when Bob Crippen had been the center director. With the support of the NASA Exchange Council, we had tables and booths set up for the first day in the lobby of the KSC Headquarters Building, the 2nd day at the O&C building lobby where the astronaut crew quarters are located, and the new (at the time) entrance lobby area of the Space Station Processing Facility on Day 3.

Thanks for the responses — had not considered those avenues, much appreciated and will keep an eye on that. |

Just asking along this track... would there be enough space collectors to put together a show up in the mid-Atlantic area? I live in Martinsburg, WV, which is not far from DC, Pittsburg, etc.. perhaps something could come together. Make it a "military patch collectors" show would draw everyone, but my interest is in space... just wondering. |

In (on?) that same vein, how about NYC/tri-state area? |

There were space memorabilia dedicated shows organized in College Park, Maryland in the mid-1990s and at Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio in the mid-2000s. Both did well, but the limiting factor today may be the number of available and interested dealers. A number of the principals who made the earlier shows possible are no longer in the business. |
