Does anyone know anything about the history of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne NASA medallions made with metal flown on a space shuttle mission that has appeared on eBay?It is very nice, the seller says only less than 200 were produced. |

Yes, I have these in my collection. Don't know the mintage but have not seen a lot of these lately, though they do tend to show up once in a while. Space Shuttle Main Engine by Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne - Year: 2010
- Mint/Issuer: Pratt & Whitney
- Mintage:: Unknown
- Flown metal: Metal flown on an actual space shuttle mission

As noted on the medals, Pratt & Whitney underwrote the minting of these medals for distribution by NASA ("Made for NASA by Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne"). They were produced by Winco International (though please do not contact Winco, as they can neither sell them, nor will they furnish additional information). |

I've been trying to get my hands on one for two years now with no luck. I have a potential lead, but it may not pan out. I would recommend taking a "small loan out" since they are HOT and collectors desire high prices! |
