I recently acquired a small yellow paper access pass labeled VIKING A with the letter C and number 1550 printed on it:

Can anyone recognize this, and explain what was its purpose? I assume it was used to grant the bearer some kind of access to the Viking '75 spacecraft unit A. I don't know if this would have been to the A-unit lander or orbiter. I'm assuming the relevant time period would have been during final assembly and test at KSC, because "Kennedy Space Center" and the signature of the KSC security office Charles Buckley Jr. is printed on the pass. Thanks for any insight. — Tom
