I bought this copy of Quest magazine for the cover article to display with our model of the same.My question has to do with the printing of the issue. The ad said it was an original; however the cover pages are not glossy like I have seen with Quest. The first issue I own, by subscription is Spring of 1994 and it is glossy as is all the other issues I have. I was wondering if anyone had the Fall 1993 edition and what was the printing then? I am wondering if I really have an original or a reprint on flat paper, cover to cover. Thanks in advance for any help here. |

It looks like an original to me. I have Quest issues dated Winter 1992 and Summer 1993. Both are not glossy covers and look like yours in terms of print quality.Mine were bought directly from the publisher. |

Great, thanks. Just wanted to verify what I have bought and want to display. |

I am the publisher of Quest and can confirm that the early issues Vol 1-5 were published in a variety of ways — some glossy, some mat/flat finish (it was before my time). But the way to tell is how clear the image is. If clear, it's probably an original. That issue didn't photocopy too well — Scott Sacknoff, Quest |
