The second time I met him a few years ago during his autobiography book promotion and I brought the boots with me and it was so nice of him to autograph the boot flap and my book as well. He told me they were very nice replicas. (I should have asked him to sign BOTH BOOTS. Then, I could have auction each individually. But it didn't occurred to me at the time, I was so excited to meet him again)

The seller ended the auction and wrote, in part:
Well he did sigh it. It was years ago when he visited Sikorsky air craft in ct. It had something to do with that flight television program he was doing at the time. I just wanted a better story behind his signing the boot. I should have told it like it was.
Sigh, indeed. Sadly, I don't think we've seen the last of this offer...
