I thought this might be a nice item for my dad who lives in Florida.

Apparently there is not any additional documentation or provenance with this item,

Opinions on it's flown status and/or value? Many thanks.

There's really nothing to indicate this flag was flown apart from the little label underneath it which could have been printed for a few cents.

The problem here is that the display doesn't resemble any official NASA presentation that I've seen. Instead it looks entirely home made.

Now of course it could have been put together by someone who received a flown flag from the flight but a flown flag would normally have been presented mounted on a NASA presentation piece.

I was thinking the exact same things.

Frankly, proven or not, I'm not the least bit impressed. They picked a lackluster shot to include in the frame, in my opinion...

I concur that it looks homegrown and not like any official NASA presentation I've seen. There isn't any way to prove this flag was really flown. Personally, I would have passed on it.

I had the same read on it guys. Thanks for validating my instincts.

Zero interest in the item on my end.
