They also state in the description it's a replica. Misleading, yes. How can you have a "vintage" replica? |

Looks pretty much like the modern reproduction listed on Chris' website. The seller also has a couple of other recovery patches which are modern repros too. Of much more interest to me was the AB Green Moon variant Apollo 11 patch also listed by this seller which, for some reason, was plastic backed. If we accept the Green Moon variant is the earliest known AB Apollo 11, did they re-issue it later with a plastic backing or was it an early experiment with surplus stock? Any ideas? | |
