I have several of these Press Kits and Mission Statistics booklets; I was wondering if these are collectible in any way. I posted a couple on eBay at 99c starting bid but very few hits and no bids after 7 days (of course, I don't sell there a lot so it may be my lack of visibility).I also searched the forum posts here and found some links to sites offering similar, but later, kits at $10 each; I'd be interested in anyone's opinion of the series I have here, which represents the others that I have in storage now.

I seem to remember the Rockwell press booklets for the early space shuttle missions had a timeline of projected missions and crews (some partial) assigned to them. That would be my interest. |

The pictured items each contain a briefing about the mission, crew, etc. There are no color photos or other material with them, unfortunately. |

Hart, the reporter's notepads have those as well. The projected crew and I think mission details. They also detail the processing of the orbiters. |

There are at least three factors that almost make these items more memorabilia than collectibles. The first is, these publications were issued in large numbers, certainly in the thousands. The second is this is shuttle, not Apollo. The third is that even for a shuttle collector, STS-32 is pretty far into the program. All that said, there's probably a "paper collector" somewhere who wants all of this type material. Good for reference at least, but I would assign no great value to them. | |
