We all know how unreliable PSA/DNA is for astronaut signatures but unfortunately still too many collectors value their opinion:

Sold to a customer who "accidentally" sent it off to PSA/DNA and got it returned as autopen.

What can someone do other than finally sue PSA/DNA for interfering with my business? Classic Scobee signature from the early days incl. X-24-B. Doesn't get any better.

Hi Flo, in my opinion, this does match the rarely seen Scobee Autopen pattern:

Also, if you look very closely, you can see some machine "chugging effect" on the bottom part of the down loop of the D.

I agree that this is very deceptive... it looks like a natural signature with some streaking, but in my opinion it is an atypically deceptive Autopen signature.

Steve, I stand corrected! However the ends are very faint not like a usual autopen — doesn't appear on the scan. I will certainly have a closer look at it again when I have it back in my hands!

Thanks a lot!!! — Florian

Here is my Scobee. What do people think?

Also, Florian mentions that it looks like a signature from the early days. But it's on a Space Shuttle photo. Is that likely?
