I have a new "Moon Shot" softback 1st edition 4th printing (If that's what the last number means in the 12-11-10...etc.). It has the non-applied clean bookplate and well-shaped signature of Alan Shepard with it, both crisp and book never read.

So: Is a non-attached version better or worse to have?

I also have a lot more items I bought when Final Frontier magazine folded and having a problem establishing worth. Any help out there?

I don't think it makes much of a difference. Just depends on what you like best. Shepard seems to have signed a ton of those so no matter what you do, you're not going to be losing a lot of monetary value.

I prefer to have options so I would not apply it but that's just me.

Kind of what I thought, but now I can read the book without concerning myself about used vs new. Off to find a hardcover.\EDITED: Just bought a "new" copy for $9.99 for a home for my sig card. ;-0 Tom

Any thoughts on those "Greatest Adventure" and "Home Planet" books and the ASE 36 signature plates and six signature ones with Ride, Conrad, et al? Have had those for over 10-15 years.
