I got a collection (originally sold by Seymour Rodman I think) of "Lipton's Red Label Tea" - "The Conquest of Space - A Series of 50" small cards - about 2x1 inch.
Does anybody know anything about them, value?

Do these appear to be reprint/modern cards?
I find references online to a set of the same name issued in 1957 of 50 cards that were packaged with Cadet Sweets' candy cigarettes.

Very difficult to say... they are definetely older than 2003 (since the guy I got it from died in 2003). Printing style could be 50s indeed but it's hard to tell if that's a reprint. At least there is no remark anywhere.
They are printed on rather thinner paper, so that would make sense with the candy cigarettes.

I collect trade cards. Lipton's Conquest of Space (set of 50 cards) is from 1962. Murray's Catalogue lists the complete set at £40.
For people who haven't come across tea and other trade cards, they're worth a look - there are several space-related sets, and many aviation-related cards.
