I have looked at this auction and I cannot figure out why they are priced so high. Anyone have any idea? Or is the seller just off target? |

They just look like Lions Brothers patches to me. |

Yes, they are all full size Lion Brothers Apollo patches, quite standard except the Apollo 7 which is the 'purple' variant. |

Maybe the seller is basing his price on that realised by a similar set sold by RR in November which went for a staggering $1,986. That particular listing had some rarities in amongst the usual suspects but hardly enough to justify the price paid, in my opinion. |

I saw that list as soon as it came up and wondered why the high price as well. They do appear to be pretty standard LB patches. Even if the A-7 patch is the purple variant (note - IF), that doesn't justify a $250 price tag. |

There was a time when Apollo LB patches could set you back anywhere from $35-$50. That was until everyone who wanted one got one, and after we all found out that they had long runs and were not just made during the missions as some had thought. Therefore (at one time) that would have been considered an okay (but not great) buy. |

Someone bought them at buy-it-now for $350! That is why you should ask here first. They are beautiful patches and I would love a set, but not at that price. |

They didn't sell. Check "Completed Listings: End Date: recent first". |
