Can anyone provide information on the following artifact? I obtained it maybe seven years ago from a gentleman from Casselberry, Fla. who said it was part of or for an Apollo/Saturn rocket launch pad (if I remember correctly).

It is a piece of orange like painted/coated pipe, 8" long, 1" o.s. diameter and has the numbers 75MO8686-1A stamped on it. That number is followed by a circle with a side view of a space capsule (with the no. 8 or letter B in nose and the no. 205 in the body) and the date NOV 12 1968 stamped on it.

I had additional information on it, but unfortunately I can't find it. (Would have attached a photo, but could not figure out how.) Thanks.

Editor's note: How to post images.

I am leaning towards a photo related to Apollo 7 (SA-205) and this being a piece of Complex 34.

J.L. Why do you believe this item to be from complex 34? Just curious?

The artifact seems to have never been used. There is still paint on the end sections on the pipe.

Is there any chance you can post the photo that accompanied the artifact? I am only guessing based on your description of a vehicle "205" on it. That was the Saturn designation on Apollo 7, launched from Complex 34.

Since this appears to be the only evidence that accompanies to artifact, I am thinking the original owner might have included the photo for a reason. Of course if there is nothing in writing that really suggests it is definitely from Complex 34, we may never know.
