I have never seen foil wrapped food like this, I have only seen clear or frosted shrink wrap that shows the contents.

Also there are no velcro dots on this, and all other foods I've seen have the dots.

Good luck.

Here's an example in the Smithsonian's collection: Space Food, Crackers, Shuttle, STS-1.

The other item is in a clear packet with a small blue velcro dot. Not sure though about this one? Thanks for your input so far.

I need some guidance please. Were the Whirlpool Corporation of Benton Harbour, Michigan a NASA contractor who produced space food for the shuttle?

Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification Robert. That website has a very nice "browse collection" feature.

I have discovered that Whirlpool were involved with the Gemini and Apollo programmes. So perhaps the shuttle too?

All times are CT (US)
