This is my first post here and I hope you guys can help me. I was told to come here because you guys were the most knowledgeable regarding space related collectables so hopefully you guys can shed some light on what I have. Here is what I have: Now I looked online and I can find a few examples of similar looking items, however the one that I have is horizontal instead of being vertical. It also has a pen and pen holder mounted to the top of it. The pen is just a brown pen with nothing on it that I can see other than saying "Made in the USA" on it. The brass mount is blank. The only other thing that I know about this Beta Cloth Patch lucite display that might shed some light onto its origins is that on the side of it on a white sticker is is hand written the dimensions of the block. Its 6" wide x 1.5" thick and 4" tall. It says that and then the word Apollo on it. Anyone have any idea on where the variation of this came from? Is is a prototype from Owens Corning? Was it given to an executive from Owens Corning? Was it given to NASA? Any insight would be great. I know this kinda sucks, but I need to sell some stuff do to layoff and I don't want to get rid of this until I know what its worth. Thanks! |
