In my opinion, the signed card is likely authentic. It appears the card has been trimmed and is no longer the full 3x5 size, so it makes the signature appear oversized. The first name only signed letter appears ok, in my opinion, but it's one where I'd want to investigate it further. I'd really like to see the entire letter in context to have more confidence in it. I can't believe people are chopping up Armstrong letters. |

I took a look at the "trimmed letter" seller's feedback, and in the last month he's sold a half-dozen such items, including a couple of Armstrong's carefully written signatures trimmed from financial documents, and even an Armstrong check. That seller (in Ohio) seems to have quite a source of Armstrong autographs. |

The plot thickens...I thought the Armstrong cut looked familiar. Turns out I reviewed the same signature and issued a LOA for it from another CS member in September. The CS member had it matted in a display and sold it on eBay. Now, the signature re-appears and it is trimmed smaller than 3x5... it was NOT trimmed when I reviewed it in September and I have the image to prove it. And it re-appears without the matted display or my LOA. Most importantly, the card in question has lines on the back. The card I reviewed did not have lines on the back and I have the image to prove it. What is on eBay now must be a copy or print of some sort. |

Nice job, Steve. The item has been removed by eBay. |

Maybe the seller of the cut letters does not want to show the people/addresses that they were wrote to shown. Unsure why they would want that and can only guess... |

Something REALLY stinks about this...The Armstrong seller father-blend's history shows NO activity for nearly 5 years, previously selling what could be described as garage sale trinkets. Suddenly he has sold multi-thousand dollar signatures? ALL to one buyer over several weeks: craigerocksngemz. Same seller referenced about the von Braun auto-penned items. Another reason to be skeptical of signatures sold on eBay - check return policy! |

The buyer of the cheque, etc., is selling a lot of which to me looks like good Armstrongs so maybe he's a wheeler dealer. I have been out the loop a while with regards to autographs but want to get back in (had to sell my collection due to divorce sadly) - am after a Armstrong as I was forced to sell my lot and do think they (cut letters) look good. |

Sorry to come back to this but really want to bid on one of the Armstrong cut letters, have been out of this for so long I kind of not trust myself to bid. I can see the person who brought the first set of Armstrongs and have looked down his buyer feedback and this person has spent big bucks on Alan Bean prints at over a $1000 so I don't think he is giving the Armstrong seller a feedback profile for others to see. Bid or not to, that is the question? Thanks |
