I have a acquired a piece of high pressure oxidizer turbopump from the main engine of the space shuttle. The piece is embedded in a crystal obelisque with writing on it identifying it as such. The bottom of the piece has a sticker banning export due to its use in a department of defense mission.

It is housed in a plain brown box, which looks original for what its worth.

The piece itself is maybe 1.5 inches, while the crystal is about 8 inches high or so.

I know pictures would be helpful, I'm working on that.

Any ideas of the rarity or worth of such a piece? I'm rather clueless when it comes to space collectibles. Given its manner of presentation, I'm guessing it was either a presentation piece or something that could be bought at a gift shop.

All times are CT (US)
