The statue is probably not worth $49 but it is unique.

Not worth $49? Tell me, where else can you find any artifact from the Jet "Pulsion" Laboratory?

Looks like a disgruntled engineer down there needs a new career or perhaps an attitude adjustment. The latter are easily achieved with pink slips.

Maybe it was made to commemorate that JPL designs, builds, tests and manages spacecraft that 'probe' the universe!!!!
