I am 15 and I just received my first ever astronaut autographs (and space memorabilia for that matter). It is a ticket from a dinner and dance from 1965 honoring Conrad and Cooper. I got it from my grandma, who got it from her cousin that worked at the hotel where the dance was held. For me this is cool enough, but when she showed me the back I was amazed. On the back are signatures from astronauts who attended the dinner - Alan Shepard, John Young, Charles Conrad, and Gordon Cooper.

I am looking looking for general info, authenticity, value, etc.

Hello Justin, and welcome to colletSPACE.

The signed ticket is a neat vintage item even without the signatures, and with them (authentic in my opinion) I'd say it's worth a couple of hundred dollars.

I'd recommend that the first step in checking authenticity of astronaut autographs is to visit this wonderful website.

That is a GREAT vintage item! It's got the who, what, and where, and is in wonderful condition. Be sure to get that into a nice archival sleeve for safe keeping.

Nice little piece. Would it be safe to assume that this event was at the Ramada Inn down at Cocoa Beach?

I am not sure which Ramada Inn, but Cocoa Beach makes sense.

Yes, I have 2 of these signed by several astronauts that attended the GT-5 dinner dance. It was indeed the Ramada Inn in Cocoa Beach where other spaceflight dinner dance functions were held. They started with Glenn's flight in 1962.

All times are CT (US)
