I hold in my hand a can of "Moon Soup". The label says "Enjoyed by Astronauts aboard Apollo 15 & 16 Flights to the Moon". The label also has the brand name "famous Chalet Suzanne." It's a blue and grey label on a white background.

The can shows no date and I have no idea how old it may be. The restaurant had an address as Lake Wales FL.

Does anyone know the background or info on this product and if it might have any value to collectors? Thanks.

You can still purchase it today, so probably not that valuable - certainly not rare! But a nice story.

You can buy it here and learn more about it here.

Thanks for the info. This confirms there is no topic, however obscure, that some reader doesn't have knowledge of.

I've even seen cans of it at the Kennedy Space Center VC gift shop in the Saturn V Center.

Interesting article Francis, thank you. What kind of soup is it?
