Thanks, the reserve was $1000, so had to pay that. Any thoughts on the value of this item from anyone? |

Also wondering, with all the expertise here, has anyone ever seen this display before? It shows a series of 154. I wonder if that could have been the membership of Conquistadores del Cielo in 1994. There's not too much online about the organization, but it does say Armstrong was a member. |

Also, not sure why they elected to use pencil instead of pen. I'm wondering if that will detract from the value of the signatures. Any thoughts? |

I don't think pencil fades like pen. So that's a bonus! |

Pencil is often used for signing lithographs and artwork. It will last forever unless it is physically smudged.

Ahh, yes...so pencil would make sense for a presentation to an elite group of wealthy members. Thanks! This piece is a limited edition of 154. I was trying to remember if Neil Armstrong did many limited editions. I seem to remember some posters of his home town and maybe some Paul Calle prints that he signed. Are there any others he did? Also, this item is presented from Armstrong to his fellow club members; any other limited editions from Armstrong himself? (The only thing I can think of might be post-flight thank-yous to staff/contractors). |

A good summary of Armstrong's commercial signings, including photos, was in this cS discussion.(Also, in a time when an index card signed by Armstrong can occasionally fetch $1000, I think you got a very nice item for your collection.) |
