I just thought I'd bring to your attention these items currently listed on eBay from seller 'hoechsti'.

He has this Apollo 16 crew photo with quite obviously faked autographs from both Mattingly and Duke, and a photo of Schmitt on the moon with a faked signature from Mitchell.

The seller does state he cannot guarantee the authenticity of the items, but I just thought I'd see what your opinions were on these items as I have rarely seen any forgeries of theses particular three astronauts!

I believe - though I'm not 100% sure - that I've seen these fakes from a notorious seller on ebay Germany about a year ago where he offered them in masses (along with other nonspace fakes). He has been excluded from ebay shortly after, but I guess his fakes are still circulating. Luckily they are easy to recognize. So in this case I assume the seller didn't know he bought fakes.
