How do you get the word to this fellow and get him to believe you that Jim Irwin did not fly on Apollo 12 and thus this photo could not have come from his camera? He has tried to sell these before with this same story. He is steadfast in his belief. Maybe it is not worth the effort to try to inform him although someone is bidding on the photo. |

The story's obviously been misunderstood somewhere along the line - but I liked the letter that seems to be part of the package. |

Be careful...it says that a "copy" of the letter is included. It's hard to say if it will really be a copy or if it will be the original. I would seek greater clarification, before bidding, about what is actually included in the lot. The seller's grasp of the English language appears to be greatly lacking... |

You're quite right - it's probably a copy of the letter. Thanks for pointing that out. |

What exactly is he selling? Is it a photo printed from a negative? What's so great about that? OK, it was from Jim Irwin's desk, but how could it be worth $26,000? Is he saying it was a polaroid (i.e. instant) picture taken on the moon? What am I missing... |

I don't think you're missing anything, HelmetHair - it's a bit like someone on UK ebay who keeps listing a signed Jim Irwin book at almost £2,000. The last time I looked, a signed copy of the same book was on a UK dealer's site for well under £100. I guess hope springs eternal.... |

Oh come ON. Multiple bidders have now pushed it up to $124. With more than a WEEK to go. Basic factual errors + shady story + bad grammar = $$$ Steve |
