I have acquired five of the six original Eagle One Mercury patches, which suggests there is a loose Aurora 7 red patch out there. Does anyone have an extra they would be willing to sell? |

I'm still looking for the Aurora 7 artwork patch with Carpenter's initials hallmarked. |

Is that the patch that the astronauts signed the front of or am I thinking of another patch? |

You're probably thinking of the American Space Pioneer patch series. This is an older series, a black background patch with art designs that were painted on the Mercury capsules. |

That's right. I had forgotten the name of the series. |

I am still looking for an original Mercury Aurora Eagle One patch. The original one that has been reproduced using the more accurate color combination. |

I used to have it, but one day I gave it away. However... the Eagle One Aerospace patch mistakenly had the 7 in red. I had some fun about that with the designer of the Aurora 7 logo, Cece Bibby. In 2012, just weeks after Cece's death and 50 years after Aurora 7, we flew a patch with a red 7 on it to the ISS (Soyuz TMA-07M) to honor her and her work. At the same time, we also had the Eagle One Aerospace patch redone in the same style and size of the original set, with initials, but with the correct blue 7 (and a more accurate reproduction of the name ‘Aurora’). I still have a couple of those. If you are interested in one, let me know. It will fit in nicely with the other 5 EOA patches. |

I have a complete set of these patches that I think I got from Mary Wagner via the Cargo Bay Emblems site. It was a good few years ago now. I know that I do have a couple of spare initialed EOA "Freedom 7" patches if anybody is interested. quote: Originally posted by hoorenz: I still have a couple of those.
I would be very interested in acquiring one of the Aurora 7 patches with the correct blue "7" if you would be willing to part with one of the spares you still have. quote: Originally posted by vanerie: ...would still like to obtain an original red one to complete the Eagle One set.
I not sure what other spares I may have, but I'll dig around when I can find where I put them and see what's there. Just have to remember where these might be. |

I have been looking through all my older patch collection and found a spare/duplicate Aurora red "7" patch with the "MSC" initials hallmark on. So if you still require an example of this Eagle One patch, e-mail me with an offer Vanerie. |

While we're on it, if anyone has a Schirra Sigma 7 patch from this series I'd be interested. Send me an email please. |
