We are winding down to the last few items from Captain Young. Collectors have been very keen on artifacts from STS-1, especially one directly from the commander of the very first space shuttle.

As Captain Young once said to me, "It was the most dangerous of all of my missions."

There are just a handful of unflown STS-1 silver Robbins medals that remain. These are the last that exist from Captain Young's collection. When these are gone there are no more.

Each was struck in sterling silver at the same time as the flown medallions and each is serial numbered and accompanied by a typed and signed certification on his letterhead.

Truly a great piece of history from America's most prolific astronaut. Offered for $895 plus $15 shipping/handling. Please reply to assetalt@aol.com for more information.

There were 359 silver medallions struck for this maiden voyage of the space shuttle. Just 111 were flown (1-111).

The remaining (112-359) are identical except for the fact they were not flown. However, they were still struck at the same time as the flown medallions and being from Captain Young's collection with a signed certification letter that references the serial number, makes these very special.
