This is a great piece. Do you have any other SSME items as well?

This is a very nice piece. Just a bit out my price range though.

There's an old thread where a guy was going to sell three of these for $1000. I wonder if the same, and curious about the current market value?

Sorry, but I wouldn't pay more than $75-$100 for one of these examples.

This pyramid and the pillar-style acrylic displays are official NASA and contractor issued presentations of a flown artifact. I am not aware of another example of such — other than perhaps the bay liner bookmarks — that would sell for less than $150, and given what this is, I would peg its value considerably higher than that.

Granted, NASA/GSA is distributing SSME turbine blades to teachers for $21.08 each. But until those are legally eligible to reach the market in five years — and even then, it's a big "if" if they do, I don't see their availability to educators today as distracting from collectors' interest in these more formal displays. (The educator examples are absent flight histories.)

Are these from the Cosmosphere?

No, the Cosmosphere presentation was in a pentagon shaped acrylic without the flight history for the blade encased inside.

This is the only pyramid example that I am aware of. This was not obtained from collectSPACE.

I had a similar acrylic, but I sold it a couple of years ago. A really nice, historical, heavy acrylic.

All times are CT (US)
