I offer a roll of 70mm film from the NASA photo lab. It contains hand indexed positives, most accompanied by anaglyph composites that they are an element of. It starts with as12-47-6872, 6875, 6897, 6919, 6921, 6988.. and goes on to include copies from other film rolls. There are more than 50 images total.

Here is a photo of the roll being held by Ludy Benjamin in the Photo Lab at Building 8, December 1969.

Here are recent images of the roll: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

You can see dust, fingerprints and a wrinkle from being pawed over the decades, this is all on the outermost film, to be seen in the above photos.

What I am looking for in exchange is a flown piece of hardware from Apollo or previous era, Russian or American, with equally solid provenance (the man next to Dr. Benjamin is my grandfather, and the film is easily identified by its spool, thickness of the film on the spool and the markings from the original tape). I will provide a notarized letter with the roll.

Other than hardware, I would accept any of the flown flags, only from the Darrell Royal estate auction of 2012. Difference in value could be compensated.

I will not let this go lightly, so please do not offer snippets of foil in acrylic that could be had for only a few hundred bucks. Id rather buy such things outright.

Feel free to ask for details or more photos. It is an early copy clearly, but I do not know what generation it is. Thanks in advance and happy hunting!

All times are CT (US)
