Auction ends on Sunday for those interested: 251283337651.

The medallion is almost certainly ex the late Charles Brady. There is limited provenance and the links back to Brady are circumstantial but they all nevertheless almost conclusively tie it back to Brady. Details will be provided to the purchaser. (I didn't link it back to Brady until after I listed it on eBay and someone asked me about provenance. The query resulted in my doing a little more research.)

Also, given that only 38 of these flew, that there were 7 crew members (not including the back-up) and the low serial # of the medallion, it was naturally very likely to have originated from a crew member.

If I may also be so bold to suggest it and if you can comfortably afford to do so (I can't comfortably afford it right now), the buyer might want to consider safeguarding and admiring the medallion for about a 10-year period and then maybe seek to locate Brady's only son/child and gift it to him. He is currently about 11 years old. It would be a very respectful and gracious gesture particularly if his son doesn't already have another flown example of the medallion.

If you have any questions, send me an email. I'm not likely to post further on this thread and would prefer that others also did not.

A noble gesture, but why then aren't you gifting it to Brady's son?
