In addition to the autographs of all Apollo crews I posted a couple of weeks ago, I am selling several dozen other items signed by astronauts selected in the 1950s and 1960s. Here is my "Gibson to Swigert" (plus von Braun) list. The "Aldrin to Evans" list has already been posted. Most are under $100. You'll see some Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronauts' autographs for $20 and less. (You'll see some fine Armstrong, Grissom and Swigert items for more!) Please write if you would like to see a scan of any item not shown. I will give a discount of 5% if you purchase two or more items. Postage is $1 for First Class Mail, $6 for Priority Mail, or more for international shipping or insurance. You're probably already familiar with autograph abbreviations, but just in case: SP = Signed Picture, ISP = Inscribed (that is, personalized) Signed Picture, and TLS = Typed Letter Signed. - SOLD Gibson, Ed – ISP (NASA litho, business suit, nice inscription "...Thanks for your interest in our country's space program...") – $10 SOLD
- SOLD Gibson, Ed – SP (WSS NASA litho with him holding Skylab model; he wrote "Best Wishes... Skylab III") – $10 SOLD
- SOLD Glenn, John – SP (portrait of him in Senate office) – $25 SOLD
- SOLD Glenn, John – SP (B+W of him in spacesuit next to Friendship 7 capsule) – $50 SOLD
- Grissom, Gus – SP (B+W of him on book stock paper; staple hole at top left) with Steve Zarelli LOA. Because of the paper stock, it's not as nice as this copy of the exact same photo that sold two years ago for $2,962... but it's still quite nice! – $1500
- Grissom, Gus – ISP (B+W photo of him with two visitors to NASA; "Gemini Launch Team" banner on wall in background; inscribed to one of those visitors with "Best regards") – $675
- Haise, Fred – Signed closing of letter; added "Sincerely" in his hand – $20
- Haise, Fred – ISP (WSS NASA litho; inscribed "To Harry - Best wishes... Apollo 13 / Enterprise CDR") – $40
- Irwin, Jim – ISP (litho of him on the lunar surface with the usual printed "His love from the moon"; he added "Harry") – $75
- Irwin, Jim – SP (litho of him on the lunar surface with the usual inscription "His love from the moon" HANDWRITTEN. Not personalized. Quite rare in this form! – On the verso, tape damage to the margins from previous framing, not showing on the front at all. – $195

*Some of these items were obtained by a British fellow around 1970, based on the letters' dates. He put each one in an album with little squares of double-sided tape on the corners of the verso (back). The tape came off very nicely, leaving a little adhesive behind. It's about as strong as a Post-It note. All of these items are already in archival-quality page holders, but if you ever want to take one of these "light adhesive" items out you'll just have to be a little careful. Priced accordingly.(I'm also selling dozens of non-astronaut autographs from my collection of 25 years. So please e-mail me if you would like to see a list with names like Orville Wright, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King, Jr.; FDR; and Jackie Robinson; as well as multiple examples from such fields of interest as Watergate, literature, and entertainment.) |
