The ASTP litho is now sold.

I also reduced prices a little on most of the item to more reflect what I want for them.

I've still got the items above available. I think I have a Walter Cronkite signed card that I'll be adding as soon as I can find out if I still have it.

Prices lowered on some items, especially the Schmitt signed books as my brother wants to get rid of his copies. Cheap price for such a nice Schmitt signed item.

Still have some items available and lowered the prices on the Harrison Schmitt signed items. Harrison Schmitt books signed on the front cover photo for $125! They're ten times nicer than an inside signed book.

I'm trying to raise money for a house purchase so I've lowered prices to some very nice prices for some spectacular items. The Schmitt signed books for $85 are insane.

Is that Steve Smith's Apollo 17 crew photo that you are recycling on eBay with a $400 mark-up, within 2 weeks of him advertising it here?

For reference it is number 221213695473. I'll offer you what you paid Steve for it.

Yeah I've already had an offer of $1000 if it doesn't sell. Also mailing it to England would probably be very pricey as it cost me $51 to send an 8x10 with a tracking number last month.

It appears the marketplace doesn't agree, judging by the number of times you've lowered the price on these books.

$350 (November 14)
$275 (November 21)
$250 (December 5)
$225 (December 10)
$210 (December 19)
$200 (February 4)
$150 (March 6)
$125 (April 6)
$85 (April 13)

By my calculation, they'll be free by July.

All joking aside, it's important to understand that book collectors generally want their books signed on the inside, on the title page. It has nothing to do with the "display-ability" of the book. It has more to do with established tradition that book collectors have adhered to for many years.

On the other hand, $85 for a Harrison Schmitt signature IS pretty cool!

I've got two myself (inside of his hardcover book, natch).

$85 is about right.
$350 was criminally insane!

Trust me, $350 was my brother wanting to "shoot for the Moon" so to speak. I told him it doesn't hurt to ask but I wouldn't expect it. I thought $200 was a good price to start.

That being said, $85 is just ridiculous for as nice as they are. I know some people like inside signed books but these display great. I see my copy personalized to me everyday and enjoy it. This is probably the only photo Schmitt will ever sign again. It was the only way I could think of to get him to sign a picture instead of the title page (snoozzzzz).

Also as hard as it is to believe, there was hardly no one there and with Schmitt doing two signings and letting me get back in line because literally no one was in line (I asked), we got WAY more books signed than I ever thought possible. I've sold about 12 of them I think. But when Harrison Schmitt is sitting around willing to sign autographs I wasn't about to turn any down.

I can't fault you for getting some extra copies signed, as long as Schmitt was okay with it and you weren't preventing someone else from getting signed copies. I probably would have gotten a couple extra for myself, if I had the opportunity.

I just think you would have been better off getting the copies signed on the inside (where they are traditionally signed) instead of trying to turn these into surrogate signed photos. While it may have seemed like a good idea at the time, it doesn't appear to be what most collectors favor.

Just my personal opinion, of course...

I've got seven Schmitt signed books left I think. When they're gone they're gone. You wont find anywhere near as nice a Schmitt signed item for $85.

The Stafford sold as have many of the items but still some very nice items left.

All times are CT (US)
