I'm looking for one particular Superior Galleries space auction catalog. It would be from the mid-1990's, probably 1995 or so.

In this auction there was a lot that had two large sections of the flown Apollo 7 parachute, one orange, one white. The white piece was autographed by Walt Cunningham.

If I recall correctly, there were several other personal items from Walt, including his watch, in that auction as well.

I don't know exactly which auction, or the auction date, these items appeared in. Hopefully someone in this forum will know.

If you have the catalog and would like to sell it, I'm interested in buying.

If you have the catalog but you're not interested in selling, I'll still pay you for scans of the catalog cover and the page(s) that describe the parachute fragments that were sold.

If you can help, please email me at DoubtYourDoubts@yahoo.com

Thanks very much for any help you can give.

I found it, it is item #238 in the Superior October 26, 1996 catalog. I will need to scan it Wednesday when I am back in the office. As soon as I do I will e-mail it to you, no charge.

There is not much to the picture and the description. It is just a white block, which is the white parachute material, with Walt's signature in it. The description is as follows:

Flown Parachute Material.
A large piece of white (about 28x56") and orange (about 56") parachute material. The white piece is signed "Walt Cunningham Apollo 7" ALSO included are two pieces of shroud line included braided (72") and not braded (17") pieces.
Estimated value .....$350-500
Final price $833.75 including 15% buyers fee (those were the days just 15%).

See my edit above for the details. Do you want the page from the letter showing the final price as well?
