In the past, I've seen a full embroidered patch showing just the orbiter that is roughly about 10 inches or so long, looks like it was designed to go across the back of a jacket or maybe on a quilt.I have no idea who makes it or where to get it, eBay searches have turned up zilch. If you have one or know where I can get one, please let me know! |

Just in case you had not looked AB Emblems sells the 8" version. If that is not big enough you may want to give them a call as they are really helpful folks. |

Fred's link above is for the triangular program patch. There is a 3” embroidered iron-on orbiter patch on eBay here |

I'm looking for something just like that, but at least twice the size (preferably larger than that). I have seen them for sale in the past but I have no idea where you could find one today... |

The link shows 3", 4", and 8" versions of the AB Emblem 'Shuttle Program' patch.I have some spare original 8" ones from the early days of the Shuttle Program if you are interested in an 8" version. I've not seen any larger ones than 8". |

I'm not looking for the triangle program patch, I'm looking for one that's a representation of the side of the orbiter. the ebay link in a previous post here shows what I'm looking for. I know they were made about 8-10 inches long, just want to know where I could find one... |

My embroidery machine can do designs up to 5.5"x9.5" in size. If you'd like, I could digitize a design when I have some free time. However, note that large-scale designs are usually fairly expensive. The price for an embroidered patch in that size would probably be between $30 and $50, depending on how many stitches are required.Normally people charge a fee for digitizing, although I'd digitize it for free provided that I can distribute the design myself. What sort of view would you want? Also which orbiter and which time period? Here's a good reference on that. |

I thought about e-mailing you on that (but still waiting for the MS wing nameplates to get figured out, hint! hint!), but I know these were commercially made, I have seen them in the past and was hoping someone here might have one. |

Okay, I KNOW for sure that a large orbiter patch is out there, I have seen one in person. It was sewn to the back of a denim jacket in a museum exhibit I just saw (which had nothing to do with the space program). The jacket was a donation so they had no idea where it'd come from. It's a side view of an orbiter, roughly 8 to 10 inches across.Come on, someone's gotta have one who wants to rid them self of it, right? |

I think I may have seen something similar in a catalog for companies that offer embroidery designs. They just send you the digitized pattern for you to load into the embroidery machine. The larger designs can be rather pricey. |

Many malls now have kiosks that do embroidery. You might just let your fingers do the walking and call your mall and see. Also, check yellow pages under "embroidery." |

So, does anyone have a early shuttle-era patch that would cover a space roughly 4X10" in a horizontal format? I have a older 'powder blue' NASA jacket I yanked a patch off and it has a nasty ghost image on it. I have driven myself partially insane looking for one of these large orbiter patches. I know they exist but you can't find anything on them anywhere online... |

Actually, the one I was looking for a side-view, but this would be great as well. Such a shame the listing is closed... |

I found myself in a fabric store with my wife the other day. I asked if anyone from the notions department had heard of one. The lady there said she'd actually seen exactly what I described at one point but didn't know where to find one now.So, the search continues... I'd think someone here must have seen one by now. |
